The pies and all the bakery goods ARE HOMEMADE RIGHT ON LOCATION. Love this farm and this family!!! I think it’s quite a testament when all the locals love this farm. It is also near the entrance of Hacklebarney Park so you can take in two things at once. If you are looking for apple picking and huge farm stands this is not the farm visit you want but if you are wanting good quality baked goods and a nice walking experience in a traditional family farm setting than this will be more your speed. This is not a 'Disneyland Farm" like the one up the road. Their dogs are so friendly! They are almost like humans who want to talk to you. There was a nice fire pit going that afternoon and I got to sit with one of the owners of the farm and her husband and had a nice conversation about the farm and the family's time on it. Everything smells so good here and the people let you sample some of their spreads and pickles while you wait in line. Their selection of pies is quite good again a little pricey but made with fresh fruit and baked on premise so quality costs money. Try to order one if they are available, they can be pricey but they are so good.

The apple and fresh fruit pockets are good too if they have them there.

Light and fluffy on the inside and crisp on the outside and they are constantly being made. The cider doughnuts and the pumpkin doughnuts are still great. I came down for the afternoon for some cider doughnuts and to buy some apple cider and it is nice to know that everything is consistent here. It still is a quaint, family run and oriented farm that has a nice bakery, picturesque places to sit and talk, an interesting corn maze and a friendly family that is doing a nice job keeping a New Jersey farm open and vibrant. I have been coming to Hacklebarney Farm since I was about ten and that is now about 40 years and what I like best about it is that it has not changed much.
